Our clients purchased a Melbourne weekender to be closer to family, as they prepared to welcome the arrival of their first child.
Their brief sought to re-interpret the soul of a Tuscan farmhouse within an inner-city Melbourne urban context.
Across the living spaces, the warmth and rusticity of a European vineyard have been carefully
pared back and refined to create an earthy sensibility recalibrated for city life
Drawing on our client’s English heritage, and the couple’s frequent interstate and international travel, the townhouse master suite concept envisioned an English boutique hotel experience, making short stays in Melbourne luxurious and nostalgic.
The master ensuite extends this language with a botanical wallpaper by Pierre Frey that wraps the walls and ceiling within the robe, creating a space where whimsy and utility meet to seamlessly come together.
A botanical Pierre Frey wallpapered wardrobe is bathed in natural light beneath an oversize arched skylight, complete with an integrated dressing table nook. The master suite becomes a hotel inspired sanctuary, offering a moment of reprieve whilst being surrounded in an interior botanical landscape.
Green and pink, our client’s two favourite colours run as a quiet thread through the home. The powder room emerged as the Jewellery box of the home, enveloped in an English Morris & Co wallpaper, this room celebrate classic heritage patterns and understated luxury, distilled into a single immersive moment.
